Connecting a Cisco ASR 920 Series Router to the Network
Caution
We recommend that you wait for 30 seconds between the removal and insertion of an SFP on an interface
module. We recommend this to allow the transceiver software to initialize and synchronize with the
Cisco ASR 920 Series Router. Changing an SFP more quickly could result in transceiver initialization
issues that disable the SFP.
Connecting a USB Flash Device
To connect a USB flash device to the Cisco ASR 920 Series Router, insert the memory stick in the USB
port labeled USB MEM. The Flash memory module can be inserted only one way, and can be inserted
or removed regardless of whether the router is powered up or not.
