Falling Asleep to
Music
You can set the stereo system to turn off
automatically so you can go to sleep to
music.
Before setting the sleep timer, make sure
the clock has been set correctly. If not, "Set
clock!" appears and the display changes to
the clock setting display.
You can also use the remote to do this
operation.
1 Play your favourite sound source (a
tape, the tuner or CD).
2 Press SLEEP while the source is playing
to choose how long you want the music
to play.
"SLEEP" and the minutes indication
appear in the display. As you press
SLEEP, the indication decreases by ten
minutes from 90 to 10.
The power will turn off after 90 to 10
minutes depending on the length of time
you chose.
90min — 80min — ... 10min — OFF
To cancel the sleep timer
Press SLEEP repeatedly until "OFF"
appears in the display.
To check the remaining time before
the sleep timer turns off the system
Press SLEEP once.
The remaining time in minutes is displayed
for several seconds.
To change the remaining time while
the sleep timer is in operation
Press SLEEP repeatedly and select the
remaining time you want.
To turn off the system before the
sleep timer turns off the system
Press SYSTEM POWER.
Waking Up to Music
You can wake up to music at a preset time.
You need only set the timer once. Set the
DAILY timer which is activated every day.
When you select the CD player as the
sound source, you can play a CD in any
play mode (normal, shuffle or programme).
The timer will remain activated until you
reset it or you disconnect the power cord.
You can also set the timer while the power
is off.
Before setting the timer, make sure the
clock is set correctly.
Use the buttons on the unit to do this
operation.
1 Prepare the sound source.
To wake up to the radio
Tune in the preset station you want.
To wake up to a CD
Insert a CD. If you want to play it from a
desired track, do the necessary
procedures for programmed CD play.

To wake up to a tape
Insert a tape. If you insert the tapes in
both decks, you hear the sound from
deck A.
2 Turn VOLUME to adjust the volume.
3 Press TIMER SET.
The DAILY and REC indicators flash *
and "Select timer" appears in the
display.
4 Press DAILY.
The MULTI CONTROLLER indicator
and the ENTER/ NEXT indicator flash.
"ON" appears and the hour digits flash
in the display.
