The valve consists of a cast-iron body with connection pattern DN 06 according to ISO 4401 on the base (1), a hardened steel spool (2),
which is held in the basic position by centering springs (3). The spool is moved to the operating position by the force of a control solenoid.
The solenoid consists of a mechanical part transmitting the motion to the spool - the control system (4) and a coil (5), which generates a magnetic
field by passing a current through the coil winding. The coil is fixed to the control system by a plastic nut (6).
The end position of the spool is sensed by a non-contact position sensor mounted on the opposite side of the body (7).
The sensor core (8) is mechanically fixed to the spool. The electrical supply to the solenoid coil is provided by the coil connector (9).
The electrical connection of the encoder is sensed by the connector (10). The spool closes/opens the channels in the valve body with its collars
according to the type (see overview of spool connections). The valve belongs to the group of valves for controlling the direction of fluid flow.
This means that it changes the direction of movement of the appliance output or stops it.

Maximum operating pressure
The valve may be used for a maximum pressure of 350 bar in the P, A, B channels and 210 bar in the T channel.
At maximum pressure values there is a risk of damage to the valve and exceeding the pressure value of 525 bar
in the P, A, B and 315 bar in the T channel, the valve may rupture.
Maximum hydraulic output
The catalog and operating instructions contain a chart with the performance limits for individual connections -
spool types. Performance means the mutual combination of operating pressure and volumetric flow. Exceeding
the performance limit curves may result in unreliable operation or loss of product function.
Valve installation
The valve may only be mounted to a sufficiently machined surface with a specified connection pattern. The
specified sealing rings must be inserted, undamaged into the body recesses. The valve is fastened with four
M5x45 ISO 4762 bolts tightened to a tightening torque of 8,9 + 1 Nm. Otherwise, there is a risk of leakage
of the working fluid and loosening of the valve by pressure. (For details, see paragraph 6.2 Product installation)
Maximum operating temperature and tightness
The maximum operating temperature must not exceed the temperature range for the seal material type,
otherwise leakage and loss of working fluid will occur.
NBR seal material: -30 to +80 °C
FPM (Viton®) seal material: -20 to +80 °C.
Maximum operating temperature and functions
The maximum operating temperature of the fluid must not exceed 80 °C and the maximum ambient temperature
50 °C. This temperature combination determines the maximum temperature of the solenoid coil winding. If the
temperature is exceeded, the resistance of the coil winding increases and the force of the solenoid, and thus the
hydraulic performance of the valve, decreases. There is also a risk of damage to the coil wire insulation, short circuit
and loss of solenoid function. Correct function of the position sensor is guaranteed only to a emperature of 85 °C.

Surface temperature of the valve
The surface temperature of the valve can exceed 100 °C due to the temperature of the working fluid and
pressure loss in the valve being converted to heat. Do not touch the surface of the valve when the circuit is
operational, even after switching off. Wait until it has cooled down to a safe temperature. There is a risk of
burns.
Working fluids used
Valves may only be used with normal working fluids, especially hydraulic oils (see chapter 3. Product description).
It is forbidden to use the following as working fluids, in particular:
› water and aquesous solutions that will cause corrosion and loss of valve function
› liquids which are flammable or explosive, the heating of which may cause fire or explosion when passing
through the valve
› aggresive liquids (e.g. acids and hydroxides) which will cause damage to the valve and loss of function.
