OPTICS ORIENTATION NOTE

The product has a molded-in "STREET SIDE" marking. Ensure

that this side is aimed toward the street.

2.2.9

If equipped with a photocontrol receptacle, insert photocell

and position eye towards lens.

2.2.10

Electrically energize the fixture and check for proper

operation.

3 MAINTENANCE

3.1 Cleaning.

3.1.1

Wipe off exterior dirt and debris.

3.1.2

Wipe off the refractor with a dry cloth. If the refractor

needs to be washed, use water and detergent.

CAUTION

DO NOT USE ABRASIVE CLEANSERS ON OPTICAL

SURFACES. THEIR USE MAY RESULT IN THE LOSS OF

OPTICAL PERFORMANCE.

3.2 Electrical Component Replacement.

3.2.1

Wipe off exterior dirt and debris.

The entire fixture below the mounting assembly may be removed

and replaced in the field allowing further maintenance to be

performed in a repair shop. Alternately, the refractor module may

be removed and replaced in the field allowing further maintenance

of the module to be performed in the shop.

3.2.2

Ensure the refractor assembly is closed and secure.

3.2.3

Disengage the screw or latch securing the fixture to the

mounting assembly and swing the fixture open slowly.

3.2.4

Disconnect the electrical connector and then remove the

fixture from the mounting assembly by swinging the fixture open on

the hinge far enough to disengage the hinge pin from the hinge

hook. See Figure 1.

3.2.5

Loosen the wing nut securing the refractor assembly and

disengage the closure bolt, swinging the refractor open slowly.

3.2.6

To replace driver. Make sure the unit is de-energized.

Disconnect the driver input and output via quick disconnects and

remove (2) mounting screws. Replace with Holophane approved

driver. See Figure 4. If no other components are to be replaced

go to Section 3.2.8.

3.2.7

To remove surge protector, disconnect surge protector

via quick disconnect.

3.2.7.1

For 120-277V units, remove (2) screws; retain screws

for re-installation. Remove surge protector, and replace with

Holophane approved device. Replace (2) screws and reconnect

connector. See Figure 4.

3.2.7.2

For 347-480V units, remove surge protector by

loosening locknut and sliding wires through opening in mounting

bracket. Replace with Holophane approved device. Route

wires through opening in bracket, tighten locknut, and reconnect

connector.

See Figure 4.

3.2.8

Bundle and secure the wiring in a manner similar to the

way it was originally secured to avoid pinching of wires when re-

installing the module into the housing.

3.2.9

Being careful not to pinch any wires, swing the refractor

assembly closed, engage the closure bolt and tighten the wing nut

securely. See Figure 4.

NOTE

3.2.10

Hang the fixture on the hinge hook of the mounting

assembly and plug in the electrical connector. Swing the fixture

closed, engage the latch or closure screw and tighten it securely.

3.2.11

Electrically energize the fixture and check for proper

operation.

4 Limited Warranty and Limitation of Liability

published in the "Terms and Conditions" section of the current

Holophane buyer's guide, and is available from your local

Holophane sales representative.
