Lamp replacement (Continued)

Unplug power cord.

Wait until lamp is sufficiently cooled.
Wait for at least 1 hour.

Remove the outer lamp cover.
Loosen the screws, raise the outer lamp cover
with your fingers as shown to remove the outer
lamp cover. Use care to avoid any damage to nails
and/or tip of your finger(s). If you have any difficulty
in removal, you can use a screwdriver or any other
smaller tool for your convenience.

Remove the inner lamp cover.
Remove the screw and carefully set it aside, and
take off the inner lamp cover.
Be sure not to loose the screw.

Pull out the lamp.
Loosen the lamp locking screws, pull up the
handle, and press the tab to remove the lamp.

Mount the new lamp.
Align the orientation, press down the new lamp until
the bottom is reached. Then lock it in place using
the lamp locking screws.

Replace the inner lamp cover.
Replace and tighten the screw removed in step

Replace the outer lamp cover.
Align the cover, and press it in, then tighten the screws loosened in step

Reset the lamp time.
See the lamp's manual for instructions on resetting the lamp time.
Notes and Precautions
The [Lamp time] item in the Status display menu indicates the time of lamp use. (Use
it as a rough estimate or guide for lamp life.)
Please replace the lamp after 000 hours of use if [Lamp power] in the Default setting
2 menu is set to [Standard], or after 000 hours of use if [Lamp power] in the Default
setting 2 menu is set to [Low].

There may be cases where the lamp stops working before the above mentioned period
expires or before the replacement message is displayed.
Attach the outer lamp cover correctly so that it is secure and not loose. If it is not
attached correctly, the projector may fail to turn on or the lamp may fail to come on.
Always replace the lamp with a new one.
The lamp is made out of glass. Do not touch the glass surface with your bare hands, bang
it, or scratch it. Since dirt, jolts, scratches and other similar particles may affect the lamp.
About lamp replacement messages
The lamp replacement message displays an appropriate period based on the
use period selected in [Lamp power].
When the replacement time approaches, "The lamp life is ending. Please
change the lamp." message is displayed each time the power is turned on. The
display disappears when you press the
Used Lamps
This projector's lamp contains trace amounts of environmentally harmful inorganic
mercury. Be careful not to break used lamps, and dispose of them in accordance with
local regulations.
