Music search - Skipping forward or

backward to play back a desired selection

During forward playback { > )

To listen to the next selection or beyond, press b as many

times as the number of selections to be skipped.

To listen to the selection being currently played from the

beginning, press ~€< once. To return to the previous selection

or more, press ~as many times as the number of selactions

to be skipped plus one.

During reverse playback (<4)

To listen to the next selection or beyond, press «4 as many

times as the number of selections to be skipped.

To listen to the selection being currently played from the

beginning, press ®* once. To return to the previous selection

or more, press ®* as many times as the number of selections

to be skipped plus one.

NOTES:

Music

selections. In the following cases, the music search may not

function properly.

This is not, however,

a sign of unit

malfunction.

When using a tape with blanks between selections less

than 4 seconds long.

When listening to tapes with long low-level parts, like

classical music, or with sound breaks several seconds long

within selections.

When listening to recorded conferences or talk shows,

where sound is interrupted.

When using tapes with noise in the blanks between

selections.

Relay playback

Relay playback is possible from Deck | to Deck Il, or from

Deck |! to Deck I. When playback ends on one deck, the

other deck automatically starts playing.

Load recorded tapes in Deck I and Deck Il.

Set the DOLBY NR switch to the same

position used for recording.

4 Press the appropriate PLAY (» or <4) on

Deck I or Deck Il.

® Relay playbackis repeated as follows (32 sides maximum):

To stop relay playback:

Press STOP m of the operating deck.
