COPYING TAPES

7. To stop relay recording, press the stop switch (™™) of the deck cur

With this function, both decks start recording the same source at the

same time. Use after putting both decks | and il into the stop mode

NOTE:

#f the accidental erasure prevention tabs of the side A on either tape

cassette are broken off, then the decks will not begin recording when

the PARALLEL

RECORDING switch is pressed.

1. Press the EJECT switch for deck 103: and deck I &:., and load tapes

for recording.

* Make sure that there is no tape slack

2. Set the DOLBY NR switch 20: to the desired position.

Set the REVERSE MODE switch 2): to the desired position.

4. Press the FUNCTION switch

°?. on the amplitier to select the pro-

gram source to be recorded and play that source.

* Choose a source other than TAPE.

5, To record the sound passed through the equalizer, turn on the

EQUALIZER switch and use the equalizer controls to adjust the

sound quality.

6. Press the PARALLEL

* The REC indicators will light on both decks and recording will begin

in the forward direction (i }.

7. To stop recording, press the STOP { m) switch on the deck that

you wish to stop.

COPYING A TAPE WHILE LISTENING TO IT

1. Load the pre-recorded tape into deck J and the tape for recording

into deck It.

* Wind the tape forward past the leader to the start of the mag-

netic coated portion

* Tape copying begins from the forward direction (B® | so be care-

ful which way around you have the tape loaded

* Make sure that there is no tape slack

2. Select the REVERSE

Both sides are copied from

deck | to deck UH.

4. Press one of the SYNCHRO COPY switches '3.

NORM:

for tape copying at normal speed.

HIGH: for tape copying at about twice normal speed

* Deck | plays back while deck Il records.

NOTE:

will be recorded.

Either switch off the TV or move it away from the unit.

* There is variation in actual tape length even among cassettes of the

same length label (C-60, C-9O, etc.). Theretore, even if the recording

tape is labeled as the same length as the playback tape, it is possible

for the recording tape to end first without recording all of the contents

of the playback tape.
