Xerox DocuColor 40/30 Family Digital Color Production System
The paper sizes that can be fed into the Sorter are:
Face-Up Feature
140 to 432 mm
(5.5 to 17 inches)
Face-Down Feature
182 to 432 mm
(7.2 to 17 inches)
12 x 18 inch paper may be fed from the MSI into the
Sorter, using the face up feature.
HCF 2500 (High Capacity Feeder):
The HCF 2500 has a capacity of 2500 sheets of 20 lb.

Approximately 20 sheets of paper will remain in the
feeder when the system signals the operator that the
feeder is empty.
The HCF 2500 will accept a minimum media size of 10"
feed edge x 8" length (254x203 mm). All media larger
than this minimum size in both dimensions can be run out
of the HCF 2500. For example, legal paper (8.5" x 14" )
cannot be fed from the HCF 2500 due to size restrictions.
The DocuColor40/30 system does not recognize the HCF
2500 as a separate paper supply. Instead, the system
recognizes the HCF 2500 as the MSI. All functions
supported by the MSI are supported through the HCF
2500. The HCF 2500 operator functions are available
through the user interface screens for the MSI.
All media that is acceptable input from the MSI can be
fed from the HCF 2500, providing it meets size
requirements.

The speed of the HCF 2500 is the same as the MSI.
Refer to the Rated Print Speed (Pages/Min.) heading on
page one of this document for details.
The HCF 2500 does not enable auto-duplex. Manual
duplex is available through the HCF 2500.
The MSI is still available for use with an HCF 2500
installed. It can be used for small jobs using media or
sizes that are not currently loaded in the HCF 2500. The
MSI will also accommodate media sizes that are not
available from the HCF 2500.
