Open the Automatic Document Feeder cover.

Wipe clean the feed rollers and scanner glass in the scanner body.
4.
Wipe clean the rollers, ADF pad, and background strip in the under side of the ADF door.
Be careful not to snag the cloth on the spring arms of the ADF pad. Also use care when
cleaning the plastic background strip. If the strip is bent or torn, it will block paper from
feeding properly through the scanner and affect image cropping.
5.
Close the scanner when you're finished.
