Transfers
Allows follow your community's policies for transfers, in addition to these precautions:
• All four caster locks must be engaged prior to a transfer.
• Place the chair in the full upright position. Additionally, fold the foot plate in the upward position and
the legrest in the stored position.
• Remove all lateral supports on the side where the lateral transfer will take place. If the chair is
equipped with 20" wheels, also remove the wheel on the side where the transfer will take place.
• If conducting a lateral transfer, raise the armrest on the side of the transfer. The other armrest
should be in the down position.
• After the user is transferred into or out of the chair, return the armrest to the horizontal position and
reattach the lateral supports and 20" wheel.
• If conducting a forward transfer, both armrests should be in the horizontal and locked position to
ensure proper support and safety.
• WARNING: Always ensure the chair is stabilized, the surface is level, the wheel locks are
engaged and the chair will not move or slide during the trans fer.
• WARNING: When transferring into or out of the chair, always engage the caster wheel locks.
