To help you distinguish between types of terminals at a glance, analog
audio jacks are black, digital (coaxial) audio jacks are green, and
video jacks are yellow.

The diagram on page 3 shows only the analog connections which
may be made to the CX-1000. Digital connections are shown in the
diagram below on page 4.
Make sure the left (L) and right (R) channels are connected consist-
ently between componenis.
NOTE:
`
Before making or altering any of the connections described beiow,
be sure to turn off all components.
Always check that
a) the RCA plug pins of any connecting cords are clean,
b) the digital pins of the optical fiber cords are clean too,
c) the left and right channels of all units are connected consistently,
and
d) connections are made securely.
Connect the OUTPUT1 (or OUTPUT2) jacks of the CX-1000 to the INPUT
jacks of your power amplifier.

TURNTABLE
Plug the turntable's output cords into the PHONO jacks. Partly un-
screw the CX-1000 GND screw terminal and connect the turntable's
ground wire, then tighten the screw. Grounding the turntable in this
manner usually produces the least hum. However, the ground wire
may be left disconnected if this gives better results.

CD PLAYER
Connect the output cords of your compact disc player to the CD jacks
a TUNER

Plug the cords from your tuner's output jacks into the the TUNER jacks
E DAT DECK
Connectthe LINE OUT (or equivalent) jacks of your Digital Audio Tap
deck to the TAPE1/DAT1
(or TAPE2/DAT2) IN jacks, and the deck's
LINE IN jacks to the TAPE1/DAT1
(or TAPE2/DAT2) OUT jacks.
TAPE DECK
Connect the LINE OUT jacks of the tape deck to the TAPES IN jacks
and the deck's LINE IN jacks to the TAPE3 OUT jacks.
E CDV PLAYER (or VDP)
Connect the L and R audio signal outputs ofa CDV or VDP (video dis
player) to the CDV1 (or CDV2) jack.
E VCRI/VCR2
Connections are basically the same as described above for a DAT
or analog tape deck - the stereo audio outputs of a video cassette
recorder are routed to the VCR1 (or VCR2) IN terminals, while the
VCR's audio inputs are connected to the OUT terminals.

CDV PLAYER
(or YDP)
Connect the video signal output of a CDV or VDP (video disc playe
to the VIDEO CDV1 (or CDV2) jack.
