Antenna care
Use only the supplied integrated antenna. Unauthorized antenna modifications or attachments could damage your
BlackBerry PlayBook tablet and might violate U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulations.
Magnetometer
Your BlackBerry PlayBook tablet includes a magnetometer. The magnetometer is used by applications such as the
Compass application. Magnets, or devices that contain magnets, such as holsters, headphones, or monitors, might
negatively affect the accuracy of the magnetometer. Do not rely on applications that use the magnetometer to determine
your location. In an emergency situation, do not rely solely on applications that use the magnetometer.
Operating and storage temperatures
Keep your BlackBerry PlayBook tablet or accessories away from heat sources, including radiators, heat registers, stoves, or
other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat. Avoid using your tablet in direct sunlight.
Turn off the tablet power if you do not intend to use your tablet for more than two weeks.

Additional safety guidelines
Stability: Do not place your BlackBerry PlayBook tablet or accessories on any unstable surface. They could fall and thereby
potentially cause serious injury and damage to property including your tablet. Take care when using your tablet with any
charging accessories to route the power cord in a way that reduces the risk of injury to others, such as by tripping or
choking.
Cleaning: Do not use liquid, aerosol cleaners, or solvents on or near your tablet or accessories. Clean only with a soft dry
cloth. Disconnect any cables and unplug any charging accessories from the electrical outlet before cleaning either your
tablet or the charging accessory.
