Installation and operating manual
for DSP pressure switches
This installation and operating manual is aimed at qualified electrical specialists.
Electrical laypersons should not electrically connect devices of this type due to the
considerable potential dangers. The installation and operating manual must be kept
so that it can be referred to at a later stage.
Application instructions and warnings
1. Devices with visible damage must not be installed or used.
2. Check the connections for leak-tightness
– leak-detection spray can be used to do so.
3. Ensure there is sufficient pneumatic cushioning in the pressure tank.
4. Not suitable for air compressors.
Intended use and installation
The DSP is a mechanical pressure switch for monitoring the fill level in water-based
pressure tanks. When installing, use the customer-supplied screw connection on the
pressure tank that is fitted to the DSP. Before setting the pressure switch, remove the
blue cover panel after loosening the front locking screw using a screwdriver.
Setting
1. Completely undo the setting nut (1).
2. Set the switch-off pressure using the setting nut (2):
» Turn to the right to raise the cut-out pressure
» Turn to the left to lower the cut-out pressure
3. Set the differential pressure/relief pressure using the setting nut (1)
» Spring fully released: Minimum differential pressure
» Spring fully compressed: Maximum differential pressure
» The differential pressure can be set to a maximum of 2.5 bar.
Warranty
All professionally installed, unaltered devices are covered by warranty during the
statutory guarantee period from the day of purchase by the end user. The warranty
is not applicable to damage incurred during transport or caused by short-circuit,
overloading or improper use. In the event of defects in workmanship or material,
which are discovered within the warranty period, the company will provide repair or
replacement free of charge.
