1. INTRODUCTION

The SDI to Optical Fiber Extender is a pair of tool to extend your SDI

signals over Optical Fiber for long distance transmission up to 10km.

Signals from 50MB/s to 3Gb/s without loss or compression with thinner,

lighter cables for easy installations.

Input SDI source equipment such as broadcast video recorder or

camera and output to SDI monitor/display with SDI connection cable

and optical fiber in between the two extenders.

• SMPTE 287-2006 compliant

• Robust error free transmission of signals from 50Mb/s to 3Gb/s over

at least 10km single-mode fiber but it will depend on the fiber

module used

• Supports video pathological patterns for SD-SDI, HD-SDI and 3G-SDI

• Supports SD/HD/3G timings: 480i, 576i, 720p, 1080i 50/59.94/60,

1080p 23.98/24/25/29.97/50/59.94/60, 1080PsF 23.98/24/25/29.97/30

• Bypass integrated SDI audio up to max. 16 channels of 48kHz audio

• Auto video mode detection (3G/HD/SD)

• Faster data transmission

• Lower power consumption
