This American Red Cross product has been carefully designed to give you peace of
mind while on the road. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating your new
American Red Cross product, as it contains the information you need to become familiar
with its features and obtain the performance that you need during a roadside incident.

About Your Easy-Start Battery Charger
The Easy-Start Battery Charger is designed to be used when your auto will not start due
to a dead or low charged battery. Used properly it can quickly get your vehicle running so
you can safely reach your destination.
Warnings
Keep out of the reach of children
This product has been designed for emergency use ONLY. Do not use in any other
manner than described. Do not use for other than intended purposes. Doing so may
result in serious injury or property damage.
Do not attempt to push start your vehicle. This could damage the engine.
Avoid contact with any battery acid. It is corrosive to skin and clothing.
Be certain the input to your car is 12-volts. Do not use a 24-volt power supply, as
this can cause harm to your vehicle's electrical system.
Do not disconnect the battery of the disabled vehicle. This could damage the
electrical system.
Be certain vehicles ARE NOT TOUCHING. Also, be certain that you are not
touching both vehicles at the same time while charging. Electricity can and will travel
though a person's body.
Operation
Turn your Easy-Start Battery Charger to the "Test" position, and insert the plug into
the dead car's 12-volt/lighter receptacle.
Insert the other plug into the receptacle of the car with the good battery.
In the car with the dead battery turn the ignition key to the "Off" position. The test
light should turn green and the charge light will turn red to indicate a good, solid
connection between both vehicles.
Turn the Easy-Start Battery Charger switch to the "Charge" position.
Start the vehicle with the good battery and leave it running until it charges the dead
battery. See the chart below for charging times.
Once the car with the dead battery is properly charged, do not shut off the vehicle
until you reach your destination; have the battery checked for proper voltage as soon
as possible.
