PRELIMINARY AIR
PRESSURE & SAG
Your Air-Bike Fork should be adjusted to the rider's weight and preferred
style of riding via the preload.
This spring load will reduce what is known as the "SAG" of the fork when
you mount your bike. As a rule of thumb, you want your "SAG" to be set so
the fork sits down around 20-30% of the fork.
110KG +

100KG
85-90 psi
Under 90KG
70-80 PSI
All you need to do is turn the preload adjustable knob clockwise to increase the preload and turn it counter-clock-
wise to reduce it. Sit on your bike paying close attention to the "SAG". Play around with it until adjusted to your
preference.
LOCK-OUT
The "lock-out" function closes the compression damping of the fork when
riding standing up or riding uphill. The fork is not locked 100%. A couple of
millimetres of the suspension travel remains moving, called "anti-blow-off
system ". This system protects you when riding in demanding terrain in case
you forgot to unlock the fork.
The XC32Air also includes our Hydraulic Gated lockout system which is a
system that stiffens or softens the suspension incrementally. It is suggested
that you set this as soft as possible in conjunction with the fork preload setting.
Regardless, you should never switch your fork to "lock-out mode" when
riding in demanding terrain or when jumping. The fork may become
damaged when it is compressed under a high load. This can also lead to accidents and injuries.
REBOUND
When first using your Air Bike forks we suggest you turn the knob to one extreme
(and it does not matter which). Count the number of clicks it takes to get to the
other end of the range. Our forks are designed to work at their optimum in the
middle of the rebound adjustment range. This means that by setting the rebound
dial midway through the range of adjustment you arrive at good starting position
from where you can increase or decrease your rebound speed to suit your style.
Now having arrived at the default setting we suggest you ride a section of off-road
you are comfortable with and play around with the settings and observe how the
bike feels.
The idea behind adjusting your rebound is to find the sweet spot where your
suspension returns from compression quick enough to recover for the next
impact, but slow enough to keep your wheel in contact with the ground as much as possible to give you the best
possible control.
