Set the AP V2 ASCOM Driver to unpark from your preferred Defined Park Position (1, 2, 3 or 4).

We highly recommend using Park 4. **THIS WILL BE TEMPORARY !!

Using the clutches, move the mount into the selected Defined Park Position, if it is not already

there.

Power up the GTOCP4

Open AP Jog Utility and connect to GTOCP4

Verify that the coordinates displayed in the driver's Virtual Handbox match the coordinates of

the selected park position.

**CHANGE THE "UNPARK FROM" IN THE DRIVER BACK TO LAST PARKED!

From here, you are ready to go. You have initialized the mount and given it the information it needs to

operate. You can use any ASCOM client application such as a planetarium program to control the

mount.

SkySafari

At the present time, you must initialize your mount using a different option – keypad or computer, as

described above, prior to connecting with Sky Safari. We have started discussions with Simulation

Curriculum regarding implementation of an initialization procedure. We do not have an estimated

release date at this time.

Once your mount is initialized, you can connect SkySafari directly with WiFi. Please read the relevant

section later in this manual pertaining to WiFi.

There are two methods for directly connecting SkySafari to the GTOCP4 via WiFi after you have

initialized the mount by another means.

PLEASE NOTE: BOTH methods will use Port #23 in SkySafari's

Settings => Telescope => Setup
