working life When you have no further use for your DAFNI
product please dispose of it according to your local authority's

This appliance has a polarized plug one blade is
wider than the other As a safety feature this plug will
fit in a polarized outlet only one way If the plug does not fit
fully in the outlet reverse the plug If it still does not fit contact
a qualified electrician Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature
This product has a detachable power cord designed with a locking
mechanism

Connect the power cord by pushing it in the right orientation until
it is locked

Disconnect the power cord by pulling the slider see picture below
this will unlock and release the cord from the brush

Store the power cord same way as it was first delivered in its
packaging

Replace a cord only with an original DAFNI cord from
an authorized DAFNI supplier

Ensure that hair is completely dry before
using the DAFNI brush
Plug the detachable power cord into the brush then
plug the power cord into the power supply The DAFNI brush
will give a momentary tone and a short RED flash to indicate
that it is now connected to the power supply The DAFNI brush
is now in standby mode
To turn ON the DAFNI brush press the ON/OFF button once
The DAFNI brush will play one short tone followed by a RED light which
pulses every second to indicate that the DAFNI brush is heating up
The DAFNI brush reaches the required temperature in around
seconds Once the DAFNI brush has reached operating temperature
the "Ready" tone will sound these are sequential tones and a
continuous GREEN light will show to indicate that the DAFNI
brush is at its operating temperature and ready for use
DO NOT touch the brush's heated ceramic surface!
When you have finished your styling session press
the ON/OFF button once to turn the DAFNI brush
OFF One short shut down tone will play and
light will turn OFF to indicate the DAFNI
brush has been turned OFF
WARNING: The DAFNI brush's heated ceramic surface
is still very hot Do not touch the ceramic surface or allow
children or those with reduced physical sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge to touch the
DAFNI brush while it is cooling
The DAFNI brush has the following safety features
Sleep mode

If the DAFNI brush has been left ON and has not been used for more
than minutes it will automatically turn OFF into standby mode DAFNI
brush heating surface will then start to cool The DAFNI brush lights
will turn OFF at the same time with three sequential tunes

Note that although the DAFNI brush is turned OFF it is still
connected to the mains and should be unplugged from mains
electricity at the earliest opportunity In this case a short
RED light will flash every two minutes as a reminder
to unplug from electricity
c
it is in cooling mode simply turn the DAFNI
brush ON by pressing down the ON/OFF button
Failure mode
In the unlikely event of a control system error the heaters will be
turned OFF the DAFNI brush will emit rapid tones and the lights will
flash RED GREEN continuously In this case immediately disconnect
the power and contact the retailer from which you purchased the brush
Handling your DAFNI brush
Do not insert foreign objects into your DAFNI brush
Do not paint your DAFNI brush
Do not disassemble your DAFNI brush
Do not use your DAFNI brush if it has been damaged
Do not place the appliance on any surface while it is
operating
If your appliance is damaged through miss
use or abuse this will not be covered
under your guarantee This does not affect
your statutory rights
The DAFNI brush is not intended for use by children
under
years old persons with reduced physical sensory or
mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use
of the appliance in a safe way and understands the hazards involved
by a person responsible for their safety
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be undertaken by children
unless supervised
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with
this appliance
The DAFNI brush should be used on dry hair only
The DAFNI brush is NOT suitable for use with synthetic
hair or synthetic wigs
