Mechanical installation

in solid walls (concrete, masonry)

Install the installation sleeve in the wall so that the surface of the front collar (the side with the hole

for the spot) is flush with the constructional inside of the pool. The final covering layer as for exam-

ple sealing or foil coating, tiles or the like is done over the collar. Keep the holes for the spot and the

fixing screws clear. Later, the spots cover a circle of D=80 mm for the aquaros 5 and D=100 mm for

the aquaros 20. The fixing screws allow a maximum covering layer thickness of 12 mm. In case of

thicker layers, please consult dot-spot.

The holes at the front and rear collar of the installation sleeve can be used for fixing it to formwork

or the like.

in metal pools (weld in)

The installation sleeve can be directly welded to metal walls. Make sure that the welding method

and the auxiliary materials used match to the alloy of the installation sleeve and the pool material:

The installation sleeve is made of 1.4571.

After welding, the hole for the spot as well as the holes for the fixing screws must be clear. For

this purpose, a hole is drilled into the pool wall, which is large enough, but is later covered by the

luminaire.

for the aq 20

■ big hole d=90 mm for the spot,

The wall is welded from the front to the mounting sleeve. Press the mounting sleeve from behind

against the wall and weld the edge of the drilled hole onto the front collar. If necessary, smooth

the welding seam, so that the luminaire can later lie flat on the edge of the basin. See respective

drawing on page 8.

The installation of the installation sleeve in foil pools or other thin-walled pools requires a suitable

sealing flange:

for the aquaros 5 with aq EH 50, it is the aq DS 50 order number 93108

for the aquaros 20 with aq EH 100, it is the aq DS 100 order number 93106

The installation sleeve must be supported physically by the fill or the supporting structure of the foil

pool. In case of thin-walled pools, the pool wall may bear the weight of the installation sleeve and

the spot depending on the type of pool wall.

Add holes to the foil / pool wall according to the sealing flange, the sealing flange itself can be used

as marking template. For the hole pattern, see respective drawing in the middle of this manual.
