Familiarising yourself with your appliance en
If you preheat the appliance, place the dish in the
cooking compartment as soon as the heat-up indicator
goes out for the first time.
Note: Due to thermal inertia, the temperature displayed
may differ slightly from the actual temperature inside
the cooking compartment.
For rapidly heating up the oven.
Prepare dishes on 1-2 levels. The fans distribute the heat
from the ring-shaped heating elements in the back panel
evenly around the cooking compartment.
Prepare fresh pizza or frozen products, e.g. chips or stru-
del. The heating elements and fans heat quickly and dis-
tribute the heat evenly around the cooking compartment.
Cook dishes for additional time. The heat is emitted from
below.
Grill flat items, such as steak, sausages or toast and
gratinate. The entire area below the grill element be-
comes hot.
Bake or roast meat, poultry and whole fish. The fan cir-
culates the hot air around the food.
Note: When using the air recirculation grill, set a max-
imum temperature of 220 °C.
For gently cooking selected types of food (e.g. meat, ve-
getables) on one level without preheating. The type of
heating is unsuitable for food that rises as it bakes
(e.g. bread).
Prepare cakes, bakes and lean joints. The heat is emit-
ted evenly from above and below.
Self-cleaning surfaces
The back wall and side panels of the cooking compart-
ment are self-cleaning. The self-cleaning surfaces in the
cooking compartment are coated with a porous, matt
ceramic layer and have a rough surface. When the ap-
pliance is in operation, the self-cleaning surfaces ab-
sorb splashes from roasting or grilling and break them
down.
Interior lighting
In most operating modes, the interior lighting switches
on as soon as operation starts. The interior lighting
switches off again when operation stops.
To switch on the cooking compartment lighting when
the appliance is switched off, set the function selector
to any function except for
ure selector is set to the "Off" position.
Cooling fan
