The touchscreen is optimally designed for finger use. The default touchscreen mode can be adjusted to

best match your application and environment, especially if you are using a capacitive stylus.

The Carlson Surveyor2 has three touch profile options:



Stylus – The stylus profile has been optimized for the use with the stylus that ships with the

Surveyor2. The stylus profile is the most sensitive profile. If you primarily use the stylus as your

touch instrument, we recommend that you use the Stylus profile. Many users find the stylus

profile also works well when using their finger for touching.



Finger – The finger profile is a little less sensitive than the stylus profile and also includes "edge

compensation". The edge compensation function improves the touch performance for buttons

that are close to the edge of the bezel. If you primarily use your finger on the touchscreen, we

recommend you use the finger touch profile.



Water – The water profile is the least sensitive touch profile and is only recommended when the

touch interface needs to be used in heavy rain conditions. Water makes the touchscreen more

sensitive. If you use the water profile on a dry touchscreen, it will require heavy deliberate

touches with the stylus or finger to be register the touch.

To adjust the touchscreen profile, go to the Touch control panel by pressing Start > Settings > System >

Touch.
