Follow the 'Brewing Espresso' section on page 10 (without coffee in the
porta filter), switch the appliance on and run through each function. Allow 5
minutes between the use of each function.
After descaling, fill the water container with clean water and let the water
run through each cycle until the container is empty.
Rinse the porta filter with warm water.
Descaler can be purchased from all good supermarkets.
You can also descale your appliance using a mixture of distilled white vinegar and
one part water.
To do that, follow the instructions below:
1.
Mix one part water with one part distilled white vinegar.
2.
Run the solution through the machine once, but make sure to remove any
coffee first. Once the solution has run through, discard.
3.
Rinse the machine by running fresh water through it three times.
Note: The espresso maker parts are NOT dishwasher safe.
