Proper use

•

The product is for decorating indoor and outdoor areas. The so-

lar ﬁ eld recharges the rechargeable battery during the day. The

accumulated energy allows the LED lights to illuminate at night.

•

The product is designed for private use and is not intended for

commercial use. Only use it as described in these instructions.

Any other use is deemed improper.

•

Defects arising due to improper handling, damage or attempts

at repair are excluded from the warranty. This also applies to

normal wear and tear.

IMPORTANT NOTES

■

Risk of suffocation! Keep the packaging material away from

children and animals.

■

The product is not a toy! Keep children and animals away from

the product to avoid injury.

■

Do not look directly into the light emitted by the LEDs. It is very

bright. Your eyes could be injured.

■

Do not disassemble the product (except for removing the re-

chargeable battery prior to disposal of the solar unit). Only

have the product repaired by a qualiﬁ ed workshop or by cus-

tomer service.

■

If a rechargeable battery leaks, make sure that the battery acid

does not come into contact with your skin, eyes and mucous

membranes. In the event of contact with the battery acid, rinse

the affected areas immediately with plenty of clean water and

consult a physician as soon as possible.

■

Rechargeable batteries must not be disassembled, disposed

of in ﬁ re, immersed in liquids or short circuited.

■

Do not use the product if it is damaged.

■

Never submerge the product in water or other liquids! It is only

splash-proof.

■

Protect the product against heat, open ﬂ ames, severe wetness

and percussions.

■

To enable automatic activation of the LED lights, the product

should not be situated near other light sources such as street

lamps or other lamps.

■

In extreme weather conditions (e.g. heavy rain, storm, hail) or

when the product is not in use, keep it in a protected area.

Product contents

1 x light chain with solar unit and 10 rods with optical ﬁ bres

•

11 x ground spike

Start-up

•

1. Unpack the product contents and remove any protective foils

(e.g. from the solar ﬁ eld) or stickers. Check all parts for any

damages from transport. In the event of damage, do not use

the product (!), instead promptly contact customer service.

2. Insert a ground spike in the bottom of the solar unit.

3. Insert the other ground spikes in the light rods.

4. Secure the ground spikes in the ground so that the solar unit

and the light rods have enough space and the cables don't

pose a risk of tripping.

Mount the light chain in a place where the solar unit is ex-

posed to as much direct sunlight as possible for the entire

day (ideally in open areas, not underneath trees etc.).

5. Align the solar unit.

6. Slide the On/Off switch on the bottom of the solar unit to the

ON position to turn the product on. Sunlight will now charge

the rechargeable battery of the solar unit during the daylight.

7. Depending on the desired function, push the mode switch

(multiple times) to activate the light rods:

– 1 push – ﬂ ickering

– 2 pushes – blinking

– 3 pushes – continuous light

– 4 pushes – switching the light rods off

At dusk, the LED lights will automatically turn on. At dawn, the

LED lights will turn off and the rechargeable battery will be re-

charged via the solar ﬁ eld.

8. To switch off the product, push the On/Off switch to the OFF

position.

Cleaning

Ensure that the solar ﬁ eld is always clean in order to ensure the

greatest possible collection of light. Therefore, clean the solar ﬁ eld

occasionally with a damp cloth. Do not use corrosive or abra-

sive cleaning products to clean the product! They could dam-

age the surface.

Disposal

Dispose of the packaging in an environmentally-friendly

manner and make it available to the collection service for

recyclable materials. It can be recycled.

Dispose of the product in an environmentally-friendly man-

ner. It does not belong in the household garbage. Dispose

of the product at a recycling centre for old electrical and

electronic appliances. More information is available at the

administration in your community.

Batteries and rechargeable batteries must be removed and

disposed of separately before disposing of the product. To

protect the environment, batteries and rechargeable batter-

ies must not be disposed of together with normal household

waste. Instead they must be turned in at appropriate collec-

tion points. Be sure to observe applicable legal regulations

on battery disposal.

Removing the rechargeable battery: Loosen the screws on the

bottom of the solar unit, fold the cover up, take out the recharge-

able battery and replace it if necessary.

Customer Service / Importer:

Depending on the solar irradiation, the rechargeable

battery must charge for approximately 6 to 8 hours in

order for the LED lights to illuminate.

Two switches are located on the bottom side of the

solar unit: The On/Off switch is marked with ON / OFF,

the other switch is used for setting the desired mode

(mode switch).
