Check the following if the light does not switch on automatically when it goes dark:

Make sure that the switch is in the "ON" position�

Check that the battery is in good contact with the battery clips�

3�

Make sure that the light is placed in a sunny area and that it receives direct sunlight�

IMPORTANT:

The battery should be charged to 100% before using the product� Do this by placing the

product under an electric light for at least 24 hours, or remove the battery and charge it in a battery charger

(not supplied)� Do this every so often, because the battery often fails to become fully charged during the

winter�

CHOOSE A SUITABLE POSITION

Choose a place outdoors with full, direct sunlight where the solar cell panel can receive at least 6 hours of

sunlight every day� Shadows affect the battery charging time and reduce the run time after darkness falls�

Avoid placing the light near strong sources of light, e�g� street lighting, which can cause the light to switch

off automatically�

BASIC PRINCIPLES

The solar cell light is designed to light up when darkness falls� If there are strong sources of light in

the vicinity this can result in the light shining weakly, or not at all�

2�

Even if the battery is fully charged on delivery the volage level may have dropped by the time

you receive the light� Charge the light for a full day in the OFF position to guarantee maximum

performance� After 24 hours set the light to ON�

3�

Keep the solar cell panel clean� A dirty surface reduces the charging efficiency�

4�

We recommend tilting the panel 30 degrees for optimal charging�

REPLACING THE BATTERIES

If the light stops shining after a prolonged period of use, this could mean the battery needs replacing� Open

the battery cover and replace the battery with a new rechargeable battery�
