The DF2SL can be set for 1kW or 2kW heat output. This should be done on installation
using the selector switch within the heater. The heater will work with any of Consort's
wireless controllers. A controller must be used or the heater will NOT work. (For more
information refer to the controller's user guide.) On the front of the heater there is an
indication light. A green light indicates there is power to heater. The red light indicates
heat is enabled. A slow flashing red light indicates the room has reached the target
temperature. If the indicator light is flashing red rapidly and the heater is not responding
to controls it has overheated, see section "overheating protection". Located on the left
hand side of the unit is a variable thermostat ranging from 5-35ºC. There are markings on
the thermostat. The single dot is equal to 5ºC and the four dots equal to 35ºC. Most
wireless controllers will also act as a thermostat. If the wireless thermostat is calling for
heat, the thermostat on the heater is allowed switch on/off. If the wireless controller is
calling for no heat the thermostat on the heater will not work. This is ideal for areas where
the controller can't measure the same temperature as the heaters. For more information
on the functions of the wireless controllers refer to the specific user guide. If the
thermostat on the heater is not required, it can be disabled on installation. To disable,
simply remove the jumper on the circuit board within the heater. The jumper is located
just below the terminal block.
