Overview

The software implemented in the Analog Terminal provides the flexibility to support several application-specific

functions as well as facilitating functional variations with little or no hardware modifications. Some of the

application-specific functions are as follows:

•

Capable of interfacing to either an H-319/U handset or H-320/U headset on connector J2

•

Capable of interfacing to either an LS-613A/STC-1 intercom or LS-614A/STC-1 handsfree intercom on

connector J3

•

Capable of supporting standard answer mode where an audible alert indicates an incoming call and the

terminal is manually taken off hook or auto-answer mode where a short audible alert indicates an incoming call

and receive audio is automatically routed to the intercom device connected to J3

•

Capable of detecting incoming audio to control the TALK or LISTEN operation state of the handsfree intercom

device connected to J3

•

Capable of toggling between the handset/headset on J2 and the intercom device on J3 at any time

•

Capable of detecting the absence of receive audio for a pre-determined period of time and automatically placing

the terminal back on hook to avoid tying up phone lines

Operational Description

2.1 ON/OFF Button - Taking the unit OFF and ON hook

The 65032-300 Analog Terminal is toggled between on-hook and off-hook states using the ON/OFF button on the

keypad. The ACTIVE LED illuminates steady to indicate an off-hook condition. The standard 3 x 4 keypad can be

used to manually dial an extension.

2.2 REDIAL Button - Redialing

The REDIAL button on the keypad can be used to redial the last sequence of numbers dialed (number "recording"

starts when the terminal is taken off hook and is stored when the terminal is put back on hook [10 digits max]). This

button can be pressed with the terminal on hook or off hook. A "chirp" from the sonalert will sound to

acknowledge depression of the redial button.

2.3 MEM Button - Memory Storage and Recall

The MEM button on the keypad is used for both storing speed dial numbers and recalling them. To recall a speed

dial number, press (but do not hold) the MEM button. After hearing the acknowledgement chirp from the sonalert,

press the number (0 through 9) corresponding to the speed dial number to recall. A second chirp will be heard and

the number will be dialed. This function can be performed only with the terminal on hook. To store a speed dial

number, press and hold the MEM button. A chirp from the sonalert will be heard immediately upon pressing the

button and a second chirp will be heard after the button is held for 1 second. After this second chirp, the terminal

is in memory entry mode. At this point, the digits to store should be dialed one-at-a-time and each press will be

followed by a chirp. When dialing is complete, press the MEM button again (a chirp will be heard) followed by the

number (0 through 9) corresponding to the location to store the speed dial. Any existing number in the selected

location will be overwritten.
