RECOMMENDED INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION FOR GIOVANNI BACK TO WALL SUITE
The Giovanni Back to Wall Suite is specifically designed for back
inlet installation only. The cistern can be installed as back inlet and
the pan can be installed as S-Trap using the supplied standard
plastic pipe connector, or P-Trap.
General:
Upon removing all Gallery products from their packaging the installing plumber should review the following:
1
Check the visual quality of the products for damages.
2.
Ensure that the products supplied are complete.
3.
All Gallery Sanitaryware products must be installed by a licensed plumber i n accordance with the relevant
installation instructions, Australian Standards and local Authorities. Failure to do so may invalidate the product
warranty subsequently changing service call charges.
Plastic Trap Connector for S-Trap Procedure:
1.
Determine the centre of the pan from the floor to the finished wall,and mark the centre line.
2.
Determine the set out required. The recommended set out is 140mm. Set out range: Min. 95mm, Max. 195mm.
3.
Cut the plastic pipe trap connector ends to the length and height based on the required set out range. Each groove
line is 10mm apart.
4.
Position and connect the plastic trap connector on to the floor outlet pan connector. Distance of pan trap outlet
centre to the floor is 185mm.
5.
Connect the threaded steel rod that holds the plastic trap connector and ensure that the steel rod plate is touching
the finished wall.Mark and drill the plate holes, and secure this with fixing screws (fixing screws not supplied).
6.
Ensure that the plastic ring collar is attached to the rubber collar of the pan connector pipe.
Pan Fixing Procedure:
1.
Position the pan in line of the floor and wall centre line mark and push the pan into the plastic pipe trap connector.
2.
Place the cistern onto the pan, and make sure that the cistern and pan attachment holes are i n line. Both pan and
cistern should be aligned with the finished wall.
3.
Measure and mark the centre of the pan foot bolt holes each side from the finished wall to the centre of the pan bolt
holes.
4.
Mark the cistern wall attachment holes.
5.
Remove the cistern and pan.
6.
Drill the two marked hole for attaching the cistern & insert plastic expanders.
7.
Position the concealed L shape floor fixing bracket on the marked floor centre lines and mark for correct position.
8.
Drill holes on the marked position and secure the L shape floor bracket to finished floor.
9.
Connect the pan to the plastic pipe connector end, ensuring a good fit.
10. Screw the two (2) floor fixing bolts in either side of the concealed floor pan L shape floor bracket.
DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN. THIS MAY CAUSE THE FOOT OF THE PAN TO CRACK.
Pan Set-Up Procedure:
1
For top back wall connection, connect the flexible hose to the cistern water control valve and pass it through the
cistern flexible hose channel located at the back of the cistern, the flexible hose should then pass the cistern top
channel opening to allow the flexible hose for back wall stop valve connection.
2.
Position the pan onto the floor and wall centre line marks, and push the pan into the plastic pipe trap connector
ends.It is recommended that wedges are to be used to support the foot of the pan during positioning and leveling.
DO NOT USE CONCRETE, CEMENT, MORTAR, OR ANY TYPE OF GYPSUM MATERIAL WHEN
INSTALLING THE PAN.
Cistern Set-Up Procedure:
1 .
Prior to connecting cistern to water supply valve, open supply valve and flush line.
2.
Connect the flexible hose connector to the cistern water supply valve and locate the cistern on to the pan and
connect the quick connect tank attachment bolts. Ensure that the cistern and pan are china to china contact.
D O NOT OVER TIGHTEN.
3.
Secure the cistern to the wall.
4.
For top back stop valve connection refer to pan procedure #1.
5.
Place cistern lid on top of the cistern and check push button workability.
Operation & Maintenance:
1.
Press the half flush to save water and the full flush as required.
2.
Clean the cistern case with liquid detergent and a damp cloth.
3.
Do not use or place water additives inside the cistern.
