7.1 Standard function (Function 1)
The up/down/stop function for blinds/shutters, including slat
adjustment for shutters, is executed by briefly activating the
buttons on the transmitter (tip operation).
Longer activation of the buttons will start continuous operation
with adjustable travel time (parameter).

7.3 Momentary contact (Function 3)
Activating one of the transmitter's buttons will cause the up/
down motion of blinds and shutters for a selected period
(parameter), terminated by a Stop function; for shutters this
function includes slat adjustment. The Stop function occurs
when the button is released. The outputs are reciprocally
interlocked.
Please note that reversing the direction of motion may result
in reversal of the motors without any intervening switching time!
In this case one must be sure to use blind and shutter motors
which permit such direct reversal of motion direction.

The transmitter can be used, for example, to service blinds/
shutters and, with the Radio Plus window contact, can also be
used to latch opened patio doors in place.

7.6 Sun sensor mode (Function 6)
Caution!! Already integrated for future applications!
With automatic mode ON (Point 7.4), an ON signal from the
sun sensor will cause all shutters/blinds and awnings to be
switched to „DOWN" (with a 1 s slat adjustment for shutters)
and an OFF signal will result in the „UP" command. This is
especially recommended for awnings.
The time setting for lowering is adjustable (parameter).
Caution!! Please follow the sun sensor's instructions.

7.7 Scenes (Function 7)
When multiple blinds/shutters are controlled with Radio Plus
actuators and their assigned transmitters, this function can

be used to store the current positions of blinds/shutters as

a scene, which can then be called up later on.
Stop command
This is done by assigning all actuators involved in the scene
to an additional transmitter, in which Function 7 has been
programmed for each of the actuators.
When the blinds/shutters are in the desired positions, the scene
must then be stored by pressing one of the buttons on the
transmitter used for the scene for longer than 2 s.
Briefly pressing one of the transmitter's buttons will cause
one of the four stored scenes (A ... D) to be called up and
automatically adjust the positions of blinds/shutters accordingly.

8. Ranges between transmitters and actuators
The range of the Radio Plus radio signals decreases as the
distance between transmitter and actuator increases.
If the normal range between transmitter and actuator is
insufficient, an Radio Plus Repeater (561.400) can be
employed to increase range.
The range between the transmitter and actuator in a house
is approx. 30m (line-of-sight connection) and 100m in halls.
The transmission range depends on the materials used
in the building:
Material
Typical range
Masonry
20m (max. 3 walls)
Reinforced concrete
10m (max. 1 wall/ceiling)
Drywall/wood
30m (max. 5 walls)
Limiting the range of the radio signals due to:
• Installing the transmitter or actuator in the immediate vicinity
of materials with metal constituents, or metal objects.
A distance of at least 10 cm should be maintained.
• Installing the transmitter/actuator on the ground or at
ground level.
• Moisture in the materials
• Devices, which also emit high frequency signals, such as
e.g. computers, audio and video equipment, electronic
ballasts for illuminants.
A distance of at least 0.5m should be maintained.
9. Error analysis in the case of radio interference
For a new or pre-existing system:
• Check the system voltage of the actuator.
• Check if the actuator is receiving a radio command.
• Check if the actuator is connected as specified.
• Check the operation of the connected consumers.
• Delete all transmitters in the actuator, and reprogramme
the actuator.
• Check if any changes have been made around the system
that could generate problems (metal cabinets, walls or
furniture has been moved, etc.).
If possible, restore things to their original status.
• Mount the transmitter or actuator at a better location.
The actuator independently turns ON and OFF:
• This can occur when an outside transmitter is activated
within the actuator range that was previously programmed
in the actuator.
• Delete all transmitters in the actuator, and reprogramme
the actuator.
A transmitter does not work:
• Take the transmitter and move toward the actuator.
If the system still works at a closer distance, the transmitter
was installed outside of the transmission range, or there
was interference.
• Mount the transmitter or actuator at a better location.
