Pairing Your Phone
To set up the vívosmart 5 watch, it must be paired directly through the Garmin Connect
Bluetooth
®
settings on your phone.
1 From the app store on your phone, install and open the Garmin Connect app.
2 Select an option to enable pairing mode on your watch:
• If this is the first time you are setting up your watch, press
• If you previously skipped the pairing process or paired your watch with a different phone, press

> Phone > Pair Phone to manually enter pairing mode.
3 Select an option:
• If this is the first watch or device you have paired with the Garmin Connect app, follow the on-screen
instructions.
• If you have already paired another watch or device with the Garmin Connect app, from the
menu, select Garmin Devices > Add Device, and follow the on-screen instructions.
Using the Watch
Wrist gesture: Rotate and lift your wrist
toward your body to turn the screen on.
Rotate your wrist away from your body to
turn the screen off.
Double-tap: Double-tap the touchscreen
wake the watch.
NOTE: The watch screen is off until you
turn it on. When the screen is off, the watch
is still active and recording data.
