Misfeeds can be caused by a worn Pick Roller. The life span of the Pick

Rollers is about 200,000 sheets or 1 year if maintained properly. If NCR

or carbonless paper is used the life span may be decreased by half.

•

Lift the ADF Lever and

open the ADF.

•

Remove the two thumb

screws and lift the Guide A

Assembly out of the ADF.

•

At the front of the ADF,

compress the ends of the

retaining hook and remove

from the groove in the

shaft.

•

Slide the hook and the

bushing toward the middle

of the scanner.

•

Remove the Pick Roller

by sliding the shaft toward

the front of the scanner

to remove the back of the

roller shaft from the ADF

frame.

•

Raise up and then slide

the shaft back toward

the rear of the scanner

to completely remove the

shaft.
