CAUTION:
Before performing the following procedures, read the safety instructions in your Product Information Guide.
NOTICE:
To prevent static damage to components inside your computer, discharge static electricity from your body before you touch any of your
computer's electronic components. You can do so by touching an unpainted metal surface.
Removing the EMI Shield
1. Follow the instructions in
"Preparing to Work Inside the
2. Remove the
hinge
cover.
3. Remove the keyboard.
4. Remove the one M2.5 x 8-mm screw that secures the EMI shield to the system board, and pull the EMI shield out of the computer base.

Installing the EMI Shield
1. Follow the instructions in
"Preparing to Work Inside the
2. Pivot the bottom feet of the EMI shield into place and place the shield down on the computer base. Align the screw hole and replace the one M2.5 x 8-
mm screw that secures the EMI shield to the system board.
3. Replace the keyboard.
4. Replace the hinge cover.
