Aggregation of Gigabit Uplinks

Large enterprise networks often incorporate switches at the

aggregation layer, in order to aggregate the uplinks from the

edge switches that send data to the network core and

application servers as required. As most edge switches typically

contain Gigabit uplink ports, a fiber-capable Gigabit switch is the
