4 Care Instructions
Cleaning is the most important measure and requirement for a successful chemical
disinfection. If used by the same patient, routine cleaning is generally sufficient in
terms of hygiene. Disinfection of the bed and side table is only necessary when it has
been visibly contaminated with infectious or potentially infectious materials.
Pay attention to the following recommendations to ensure that the bed and side
table functions and usability are preserved as long as possible:
• The surfaces must be undamaged, any damage must be repaired immediately.
• We recommend (damp) wipe cleaning. When selecting cleaning agents, ensure
that the ones chosen are mild (gentle to skin and surfaces) and environmentally
friendly. A standard household cleaner can generally be used.
• The used materials are resistant to tested and approved disinfectants.
• For cleaning and care of the bed and side table, use a damp cloth with standard,
mild household cleaner suitable for cleaning.

disinfection by wiping, the disinfectant agent used should be an appropriate and
approved DGHM-listed disinfectant (in the recommended concentration). Agents
and concentrations indicated in the list of the Robert Koch Institute (or the former
Federal Health Office), may only be used in the event of an outbreak in
accordance with the German Protection against Infection Act only by order of
the responsible health authority.
