What is airplane mode and how does it affect my phone?

Answer:

Modern Smartphone's can go into Airplane mode at the touch of the finger. It is illegal to use

phones during flight because of the potential threat of interfering with airplane signals. To allow

users to be able to use their phone for things like music, calendars, etc. the user can put their

phone in airplane mode cutting off all communication and radio signals.

If you find your phone is not working, check to make sure you are not on airplane mode.

Navigate to Airplane mode; follow the directions for your phone type:

Spring Mogul -

1. Navigate to the Comm Manager screen by clicking the second button from the top on the

right hand side of the phone.

2. The Airplane symbol should have an (X) on signifying airplane mode is off.

An alternative way to see if your phone is in Airplane mode is to:

1. Slide to the Settings tab, and then tap Wireless controls to open

the Comm Manager.

2. On the Comm Manger screen, tap Airplane Mode to enable or

disable Airplane Mode. When enabled, the ON indicator is

activated, when disabled, you will see an (X) over the airplane

and it will be highlighted with a red box.
