The springs can be prestressed by turning the lever on the side of the element (see Fig. left hand side
below). In the initial state the lever is inside the element and it must be moved outside through the hole
in the side panel.

Procedure of static load adjustment
To carry out the static load adjustment on the right hand side of the element (see Fig. above) follow this
procedure:
1. Check the position of the peg.
2. If the peg is in the center of the hole, no further load adjustment is required.
3. If the peg stands at the bottom position, reduce the prestress. For reducing the prestress the lever
has to be turned from front to side (see Fig. 4, left hand side). Note that during the process of turn-
ing the lever, it has to be pushed in the direction of the lever. The stop position for turning is given
by the end of the hole on the side panel. To move the lever back inside the housing or for further
reduction of prestress release pushing and turn the lever back.
4. If the peg is at the top position of the hole, increase the prestress. For increasing the prestress, the
lever has to be turned from side to front (see Fig. 4, right hand side). Note that during the process of
turning the lever, it has to be pushed in the direction of the lever. The stop position for turning is giv-
en by the end of the hole on the side panel. To move the lever back inside the housing or to further
increase prestress, stop pushing and turn the lever back.
Fig. 4: Moving the lever to reduce or increase the prestress of internal springs
To carry out the static load adjustment on the left hand side of the element repeat the proce
dure described above turning the lever in the opposite direction (to reduce the prestress = turn
lever from side to front / to increase the prestress = turn lever from front to side)
