Fields of Application and Benefit

For good comprehensibility, the features of the Micro Automation Set are

explained on the basis of an automation task.

Automation task

As a quality assurance measure, the weight of a delivered quantity of

goods is to be recorded together with a time stamp. These data are to be

sent to a control center via an Ethernet connection and to be archived

there. The control center can be any SIMATIC S7 controller or a PC-based

software PLC. As an example, a PC-based visualization system is to

enable access to the archive data of the control centers. For maintenance

purposes, it is to be possible to directly access the controllers in the

automation network from the office network.
