Before  the  first  use,  please  fully  charge  the  battery,  this  can  take  up  to  6  hours.  The  
smart  charger  will  turn  off  the  charging  current  once  the  battery  is  full  and  will  NOT  
overcharge   t he   b attery.   A lso   e nsure   t he   t yre   p ressures   a re   c orrect,   c heck   t hat   a ll   t he  
nuts   and   bolts   on   the   bike   are   secure   ESPECIALLY   THE   QUICK   RELEASE   FOLDING  
JOINTS   as   they   may   have   become   loose   during   shipping   and   that   the   breaks   work  
correctly.  
 
Folding   J oints  
The   m ain   f olding   j oint   l atch   i s   s pring-­‐loaded   a nd   a   s mall   s afety   c lip   m ust   b e   r otated  
out   t he   w ay   t o   a llow   t he   l atch   t o   b e   u ndone.   T his   p revents   t he   f olding   j oint  
accidentally   b eing   u ndone   w hile   r iding.    
 
The   h andlebar   f olding   j oint   u ses   q uick   r elease   s ystem   w ith   a   c lip   t hat   p revents   t he  
quick   r elease   f rom   r eleasing   a ccidentally.   S imply   p ush   t he   b utton   a s   y ou   p ull   t he  
lever   a way   f rom   t he   h andlebar   p ost   a nd   i t   w ill   r elease.   T o   l ock   t he   h andlebars   i n  
position   s imply   p ush   t he   l ever   i nto   t he   h andlebar   p ost.    
 
Front   W heel  
Before   t he   f ront   w heel   c an   b e   i nstalled   t he   s pindle   m ust   b e   i nstalled.   U ndo   t he   k nob  
and   r emove   t he   f irst   s pring.   S lide   t he   s pindle   t hrough   t he   h ub,   p ut   t he   s pring   b ack  
(narrow   s ection   p ointing   t owards   t he   w heel,   w ide   s ection   a way)   a nd   p ut   t he   s crew  
the   k nob   b ack   o nto   t he   s pindle   a   f ew   t urns.   D O   N OT   T IGHTEN   T HE   K NOB   A LL   T HE  
WAY   Y ET.  
 
Once   t he   s pindle   i s   i nstalled   i n   t he   w heel,   t he   w heel   c an   b e   i nstalled   i nto   t he   b ike.  
Lift   t he   f ront   o f   t he   b ike   a nd   s lide   i n   t he   w heel.   W ith   e verything   l ined   u p,   t he   w eight  
of   t he   b ike   c an   b e   r ested   o n   t he   f ront   w heel.   O pen   t he   q uick   r elease   l ever   a nd  
tighten   t he   k nob   t o   t he   p oint   w here   c losing   t he   q uick   r elease   l ever   o ffers   a  
reasonable   a mount   o f   r esistance.   I f   t he   q uick   r elease   c annot   b e   c losed,   t ry   u ndoing  
the   k nob   a   q uarter   o f   a   t urn.   I f   t he   l ever   i s   e asy   t o   c lose   t ry   t ightening   t he   k nob   a  
little.    
 
Once   y ou   h ave   i nstalled   t he   f ront   w heel   l ift   t he   f ront   o f   t he   b ike   o ff   t he   g round   a nd  
spin   t he   w heel.   I t   s hould   s pin   f reely   a nd   s hould   b e   s traight   w hen   v iewed   f rom   t he  
front.   I f   t he   w heel   d rops   o ut   o r   i s   n ot   s traight   r eread   t he   i nstructions   a nd   r epeat   t he  
previous   s teps.  
 
Pedals  
Attach   t he   p edals   b efore   r iding.   E ach   p edal   w ill   o nly   f it   o n   i ts   r espective   s ide;   t hey  
are   m arked   f or   e asy   i nstallation   e ither   w ith   a   s ticker   o n   t he   p edal   o r   e mbossed   o n  
the   e nd   o f   t he   t hreaded   s ection.   A   1 5mm   s panner   i s   n eeded   f or   t his.    
 
Turning   O n/Off  
Once   r eady,   t urn   t he   b attery   t o   t he   o n   p osition   w ith   t he   o n/off   s witch   ( located   o n  
the   s ide   o f   t he   b attery,   b ack   r ight   c orner)   t hen   p ress   a nd   h old   t he   o n/off   b utton   a nd  
the   d isplay   w ill   l ight   u p.   T he   b ike   i s   n ow   o n.   H old   o n/off   a gain   t o   t urn   t he   b ike   o ff   o r  
switch   t he   b attery   t o   t he   o ff   p osition.
