Charging Batteries

The PT Series portable data terminals are equipped with a battery box for

standard alkaline cells. Never insert alkaline cells into a PT-Series PDT for

charging through the cradle. Only a rechargeable battery pack can be charged

using the PDT or using the spare slot. Before using your PT-12 for the first time,

charge the NI-MH battery pack for 3 hours using the PDT or using the CRD-10

cradle.

Warning

: Make sure you have a Ni-MH rechargeable battery pack

installed in the PT-12 before charging. Charging alkaline cells can cause

personal injury and severe damage to the PT-12 cradle and terminal units.
