The e-STUDIO232/282 support many remote monitoring features that are both cost
efficient and performance enhancing. Automatic system notifications via email can
notify the service department that attention is required for preventative maintenance
or breakdown and will even transmit meter readings without user intervention.
Also, supplies can be monitored so that you never run out by the automatic supply
ordering system via email or fax. Using these convenient features will lead to a
reduction in downtime
. What about data security and access restrictions?
Our department often deals with sensitive information and I'm worried about
the data security when connecting to a network. What kind of solution do
you offer?
The e-STUDIO232/282 offer strong data security and access restrictions. Security
is provided to documents in the e-Filing box, where all access to personal folders
can be password protected. In copy mode, Toshiba's original data compression
technology makes it difficult to extract information. In addition, when installing the
optional Overwrite Kit, which is a secure data erase tool offered as an expansion key,
temporary data that is left behind after each job will be automatically overwritten
using the US Department of Defence (DoD) standard, making this kind of temporary
data irretrievable. Adding to these security measures, the optional scrambler board
will encrypt data on the HDD to a level of 128-bit, further safeguarding copy-print-
scan data from unauthorised access should the HDD be removed.
