Press PgUp/<+> or PgDn/<-> to select [Manual], [None] or [Auto] type.

Note that the specifications of your drive must match with the drive

table. The hard dsk wll not work properly f you enter mproper nfor-

maton for ths category. If your hard dsk drve type s not matched or

listed, you can use [Manual] to define your own drive type manually.

Enablng LBA causes Logcal Block Addressng to be used n place of

Cylnders, Heads and Sectors

Any selecton except Dsabled determnes the number of sectors trans-

ferred per block

Indcates the type of PIO (Programmed Input/Output)

Indcates the type of Ultra DMA

Ths allows you to actvate the S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Montorng Analyss &

Reportng Technology) capablty for the hard dsks. S.M.A.R.T s a utl-

ty that montors your dsk status to predct hard dsk falure. Ths gves

you an opportunty to move data from a hard dsk that s gong to fal to

a safe place before the hard disk becomes offline.

Enables 32-bt communcaton between CPU and IDE controller
