COMPACT DISC
R.C.U. OPERATION

INFORMATION
DISPLAY
Information about the Compact Disc playback (currently
playing track number, index number,
elapsed time from
beginning of current track) can be displayed on the screen
of the television or color TV monitor connected to the
player.
In addition
to the above
information,
the DISPLAY
button can be used to display REMAIN
(remaining time
from current position to end of disc), or TOTAL
(the
total number
of tracks recorded
on the disc and their
total playing time).

After beginning Compact Disc playback, this button can be
pressed to move the pickup forward or back at high speed.
This function
operates only while the button
is held de-
pressed; the playback sound is simultaneously diminished.
bP
marked end is depressed: Forward direction
<4 marked end is depressed: Reverse direction
When the button is released, the player returns to normal-
speed playback. If the button is pressed when the player is in-
the pause mode, the pickup can be moved quickly forward or
backward without sound being produced, and when the but-
ton is released, the player will return to the pause mode.
(At beginning of playback)... Track number, index number,
minutes, seconds.
NOTE:
/f scan is performed to the end of a disc, the player will enter the
pause mode. If scan is performed in the reverse direction all the way
to the beginning of a disc, the player will stop at the beginning of the
first track, and enter the pause mode.

repeat playback, during the time that the player is searching for
the playback starting point the screen will display the word
"SEARCH."
