■Regulating rod check / adjustment
[Standard]
・Small jack's knob (a) and Regulating rod (b) respectively contact in the center position
when Silent mechanism is engaged.(Fig.3).
・Small jack's knob (a) does not contact the Regulating rod when Silent mechanism is
disengaged.
[Procedure]
Adjust Regulating rod drive lever adjustment screw installed in the back of the
action treble side (Fig.4)
・To rotate regulating rod more : Adjust screw clockwise
・To rotate regulating rod less : Adjust screw counterclockwise
■Silent let‐off (=Hammer let‐off in the Silent mode)
[Standard]
Silent let‐off escapes at the shank stopping position +1mm to 2mm
[Procedure]
Adjust regulating rod adjustment screw (Fig.5)
・To narrow Silent mode let‐off : Rotate screw clockwise
・To increase Silent mode let‐off : Rotate screw counterclockwise
[Procedure]
1) Check / adjustment of normal hammer let‐off.
2) Increase the hammer drop of the key at each end of each
regulating rod to 8mm ‐ 9mm.
(If the drop is not increased, jack escapement cannot be seen.
This is to confirm jack escapement in Silent mode.)
3) Confirm Silent mode let‐off on samples at both ends of each section.
4) Rotate the adjustment screw of regulating rod between the repetition levers to adjust.
5) Return the hammer drop on samples to the original position.
