COMBUSTION

Extractor hoods connected directly to the

outside must be provided, to allow the

products of combustion of the gas

appliance to be discharged (fig. 13.6).

If this is not possible, an electric fan may

be used, attached to the external wall or

the window; the fan should have a capa-

city to circulate air at an hourly rate of 3-

5 times the total volume of the kitchen

(fig. 13.7).

The fan can only be installed if the room

has suitable vents to allow air to enter,

as described under the heading

"Choosing suitable surroundings".

Les produits de la combustion de l'appa-

reil à gaz doivent être évacués au

moyen d'une hotte reliée directement à

l'extérieur (fig. 13.6).

Dans le cas contraire, il est possible d'u-

tiliser un ventilateur électrique, appliqué

au mur extérieur ou à la fenêtre, ayant

une capacité apte à garantir un change-

ment horaire d'air égal à 3-5 fois le volu-

me de la cuisine (fig. 13.7).

Le ventilateur peut être installé unique-

ment en cas de présence des ouvertures

pour l'entrée de l'air, voir description

chapitre "Local d'installation".
