Installing the ONIE License Key on ENOS

The following example depicts use of the G8272 Command Line Interface (CLI)

running Enterprise NOS (ENOS) to install the ONIE license key.

G8272> enable

G8272# configure terminal

G8272(config)#

using the copy command:



G8272(config)# copy {tftp|stfp} software-key address <server hostname or

IP address> keyfile <file path> [data-port|mgt-port]

For example, using a TFTP server:

G8272(config)# copy tftp software-key address 10.120.33.12 keyfile

/fod-keys/fodEE3 mgt-port

using the enakey command from the Software Key command mode:



G8272# software-key

G8272(Software-Key)# enakey address <server hostname or IP address> keyfile

<file path> [protocol {tftp|sftp}] [data-port|mgt-port]

For example:

G8272(Software-Key)# enakey address 10.120.33.12 keyfile

/fod-keys/fodEE3 protocol tftp mgt-port

The license key has now been successfully installed on the switch.

G8272> show software-key

To remove the ONIE license key from the switch, use the following command:

G8272# software-key

G8272(Software-Key)# rmkey key <license file>

For example:

G8272(Software-Key)# rmkey key fodEE3

Note: When removing the ONIE license key from the switch, the ONIE software

image is also removed.
