* When performing differential interference contrast microscopy and

episcopic fluorescent microscopy at the same time

(1) Buttons corresponding to required actions are outlined in solid borders. Operate

the buttons in the sequence indicated by the numbers.

(2) Buttons corresponding to optional functions are enclosed in dashed borders.

(3) Perform the following adjustments from the microscope main unit.

• Centering the lamp for the episcopic light source

• Condenser focusing and centering

• Placing the DIC prism of the objective into the optical path

• Placing the polarizer into the optical path

• Adjusting the orientation of the polarizer

• Placing the 1-lambda plate into the optical path (if necessary)

• Inserting and removing the ND filter and NCB filter
