m i c r o s c o p e ( F i g . 19), w h e r e t h e
eyepiece t u b e is to be r o t a t e d
180°. This r o t a t i o n of t h e stage
m a y o f t e n be of use in photo-
m i c r o g r a p h y , w h e n t h e p i c t u r e
f o r m a t is c h a n g e d f r o m verti-
cal to h o r i z o n t a l or vice versa.
