• During  winter,  never  let  snow  accumulate  on  top  of  the  cover.    A  large  accumulation  of

• Do   n ot   d rag   t he   c over   o ver   r ough   s urfaces.  
• Do   n ot   u se   T ri-­‐Chlor   s anitizers.   U se   o f   t his   c hemical   w ill   v oid   c over   w arranty.  
• All   heat   producing   objects   such   as   grills,   lanterns,   etc.   should   be   kept   away   from   the  
cover.   E xcessive   h eat   w ill   d amage   t he   v inyl   a nd   f oam   i nserts.  
 
11 SECURITY  
 
• Never   s tand   o n   t he   c over.  
• Never   w alk   o n   t he   c over.  
• Never   a llow   c hildren   o r   p ets   t o   p lay   o n   t he   s pa   c over.  
• Manipulate   the   cover   with   care   when   you   remove   it   from   the   spa.     Avoid   sudden  
forceful   m ovements.  
• Children   s hould   n ever   b e   p ermitted   i n   t he   s pa   w ithout   a dult   s upervision.  
• Gases   p roduced   b y   t he   b reakdown   o f   c hemical   p roducts   w ill   b e   t rapped   u nder   t he   c over  
unless   t he   c over   i s   o pened   t o   v ent   t he   g ases.     I f   t he   g ases   a re   n ot   v ented,   t his   w ill   c ause  
reduced   cover   lifespan.     These   gases   attack   the   layer   protecting   the   interior   foam.    
Eventually   t he   f oam   a bsorbs   h umidity   f rom   t he   s pa   a nd   b ecomes   v ery   h eavy.     T his   t ype  
of   d amage   i s   n ot   c overed   b y   t he   g uarantee.  
• Use   of   tie-­‐down   straps   is   mandatory,   and   they   should   be   inserted   into   clips   when   the  
spa   i s   n ot   i n   u se.  
• Custom   Spa   Cover   is   not   responsible   for   any   drowning   or   injury/accident   related   to  
manipulation   o r   u sage   o f   t he   s pa   c over.    
 
12 RECOMMENDATIONS  
 
• To   prolong   the   life   of   your   cover,   we   suggest   that   you   use   a   cover   lifter   in   order   to  
reduce   t he   w ear   a nd   t ear   o f   r epeated   m anipulations   o n   y our   c over.  
• When   w interizing   y our   s pa,   w e   r ecommend   t hat   y ou   p lace   a   c entral   f oam   i n   t he   i nterior  
of   t he   s pa   t o   s upport   t he   c over   i n   o rder   t o   a void   i t   c ollapsing   d uring   t he   w inter   b ecause  
of   the   weight   of   the   snow.     We   also   recommend   the   use   of   a   tarpaulin   or   protective  
cover   to   be   placed   on   top   of   the   spa   cover   to   protect   it   from   damage   due   to   harsh  
weather   c onditions.  
• To  avoid  cracking  of  the  cover,  we  suggest  removing  accumulated  snow  with  a  broom.    
Do  not  use  a  metal  or  plastic  shovel  to  remove  accumulated  snow  or  ice,  because  this  
will   c ontribute   t o   t he   d eterioration   o f   t he   c over.
