• The device is only suitable for use in or around the house, like for instance in the balcony area, patio or
garden.
• Never use the device near a bath tub, shower, wash basin or swimming pool (see fig. 6).
• Keep a distance of 50 cm to all combustible objects (see. fig. 5). The appliance must not be covered
up, otherwise this could lead to over-heating which could result in a fire. Never use inflammable cleaning
agents, like petrol, for cleaning the appliance. Do not use the appliance in rooms where combustible gas-
es can be present.
• Only operate the device in a fully assembled condition in a standing position with the upper part of the
housing horizontally placed. (see fig. 4). Otherwise the housing temperature can increase to a danger-
ous level which can lead to danger from burning.
• During operation and for a little while afterwards the device is hot in the area of the protection grid. Do
not transport it in this condition.
• Never use the device with switching installations such as timers which switch the device on auto-
matically. It may be possible that you have unintentionally moved the device or covered it, thus causing
it to be a fire hazard.
• Check whether the voltage on the type label agrees with the voltage supply in your home.
• The appliance may not be operated by children.
• Make sure that no water or other fluids can enter into the appliance.
• Unplug the appliance before cleaning.
• Never use inflammable cleaning agents, like petrol, for cleaning the appliance.
• Occasionally check the power cable for damage. A damaged cable can cause dangerous electric
shocks. In case of damage, the cable must be replaced. This should only be done by an expert, as a
special tool is necessary.
• The appliance may only be opened up and repaired by qualified personnel.

Your Infra-red heater warms the object or person without directly heating up the surrounding air. It con-
tains two heating elements each rated at 700W. The heating power can be set to either 700W (one heating
element) or 1400W (both heating elements) via a rotary switch.

Unpacking the device
- Remove the packaging material and the transport security mechanism which protects the heating ele-
ments.
- Check the appliance for visible damage.
If you should notice any damage, do not use the appliance. Please contact your dealer immediately.
- Please dispose of the packaging in an environmentally manner.
Assembling the device (see figs. 1,2 and 3)
(You require an 8mm standard screw driver and a size 2 cross-head screw driver).
