When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions always have to be
followed including the following:
1.
Read all instructions prior to use.
2.
Do not use outdoors, FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY.
3.
This appliance has a polarized outlet only one way, if the plug does not fit fully
into the outlet reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.
Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
4.
A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk of being tangled or
tripped over a longer cord.
5.
If an extension cord is used:
a. The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be
at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.
b. The cord should be arranged so it does not drape over the countertop
or table top where it can be pulled on by children or cause someone to
trip over.
6.
Use extreme caution when removing tray or disposing of hot liquid or
grease.
7.
To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or unit in
water.
8.
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near
children.
9.
Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow unit to cool down
before putting on or taking off parts.
10. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, after the
appliance malfunctions or has been damaged. Return appliance to the nearest
authorized service facility for examination or repairs.
11. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance
manufacturer may cause injuries.
12. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
13. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
14. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or
other liquids.
15. Always attach plug to appliance first, then into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn
the timer to "OFF", then remove plug from wall outlet.
16. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
17. Before plugging the unit into the main supply, make sure the voltage corresponds
to that indicated on the appliance.
18. Place the appliance on a dry horizontal surface. Do not use metal utensils as
they may cause electrical shock. Make sure the food stays on the surface of the
rollers/tray or it can cause fire.
19. A fire may occur if rollers/tray comes in contact with flammable material, such as
curtains, draperies, etc. while in operation.
20. Do not clean the unit with metal scouring pads, pieces can break off the pad and
get into the electrical part involving a risk of electrical shock.
21. Do not store any of the following materials inside the unit: paper, cardboard,
plastic and such.
22. To reduce the risk of fire, do not store anything directly on top of the appliance
while it is in operation.
23. Use only clean water in the non-stick tray.
24. Do not touch the rollers and tray while the unit is in operation or immediately after
switching off, as the rollers will be very hot.
