Cleaning The Detector Pad
As urine is acidic, it is important that you clean your pad as soon as
possible once urine is in contact with the detector pad. The recommended
method of cleaning the Detector Pad is to place your pad under warm
running water and wipe with a clean cloth. Please dry thoroughly once
clean.
It is important that you:-
o AVOID wetting the plug or the wire
o Do NOT use household cleaning fluids or alcohol-based sprays
o Do NOT use any form of wipes including baby wipes
The last 2 points above contain chemicals which can damage the surface
of the pad and shorten its life.
Some parents opt to buy a second pad so that there is instantly a clean
and dry pad ready for use in the middle of the night. Even if you are
alternating pads in this way, we recommend that you follow the cleaning
process once the child has wet, even if you allow the pad to drip dry.
Changing The Batteries
The Astric Dry-Bed takes very little power and batteries will last a long
time. When it is time to change batteries, remove the battery cover from
the bottom of the Alarm Unit and replace the batteries.
Batteries go in to the Alarm Unit the same way, the negative end of the
batteries align with the springs.
